About Foundation of Hope Disability
Foundation for Disabilities Hope (FDH) is non-governmental organization which was registered on 2019 under Governmental Act N:24 of 2002 with registration No: 00NGO/R/0204.The Establishments of this organization was inspired by group of youth including Persons disabilities who were working together to resolve various social, economic and political problem facing Persons with disability in Tanzania since 2016.
The groups was motivated to transform lives of Persons with disabilities focusing on improving access to health services, social services, security and education. The ambition to strengthen group initiatives to support the larger number of vulnerable community members motivated the group to attain legal registration on 2019.
It is grassroot organization which works with multi-sectoral organization at national and international level to advocate and promote equitable society whereby Persons with disabilities can freely realize their full potential, achieve their rights, fulfill responsibilities and lead their life with dignity and self-respect.
It also works to promote and advocate for transparent, gender inclusion, accountability and democratic governance by building the capacities of Persons with disabilities and stakeholders through various participatory approaches.
